You know, I love this browser, and worked with it for about a year now, but you know the one thing that is pissing me off to no end is the Clipboard Copy Past flaw that randomly happens. I know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue, and today it seems to be really bad. Copying URLs or text is just not happening for me today :( ???
Can you describe it? I don't think I've had this problem yet (I must be lucky)...
LOL I thought I did... Copy and Pasting text... copy out of a Firefox window and past into something else. Copying URLs (from Address Bar), text, link text, etc... been happening on multiple systems of mine, and multiple versions of Firefox.
I get this problem sometimes too, or at least something similar. No problems with pasting, but I can't copy stuff out of Firefox (address bar, text from pages, etc) quite often. Even right-clicking selected text and choosing cut, the text cuts, but I can't paste it into any apps - the paste button is grey'd out as if the clipboard was empty.
My pet-peev with firefox is their drop-list-box control used on the google bar - it isn't a standard windows drop-box and doesn't behave the way I want it to. Specifically, if the list has dropped down for whatever reason, you HAVE to pick something out of the list (or hit esc I guess) before you can type whatever text you want.

That is exactly it... copy from CTRL+C or from the Menus, or cut from CTRL+C or the Menus, and won't paste to anything else including Firefox itself.
Weird I'm on 1.5.0.3 and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, maybe a plug-in is interfering? Do you have any plugins that allow you to single-click tabs, etc?
It was a reported but in 1.5.0.2 though. And I've seen the following fix reported before:
1. Important! Close all Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer windows.
2. Run "regedit.exe"
3. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
4. On the right-hand side you should see a String called ?AppInit_DLLs? with a value of ?pushow*.dll? where * is a random number.
5. Right-click on this String and click Delete and then exit regedit.
6. Open "C:\windows\system32\"
7. In that folder there is a file called "pushow*.dll," where * is the random number you saw above. Delete all pushow*.dll files. QuoteSuch things happen when you download an embeded firefox software from 3rd parties. OR
When your system gets infected by a trojan.

Going to try without any plugins... only had the PDF in Tab and IE Window ones... see if that fixes it... don't use them very often, so no need to have them.
It happes to me on and off as well...
Just so you know, at work I have no themes or extensions installed and I'm using FF 1.5 and I have no issues...
I'm on Firefox 1.5.0.3 with no extensions, and frequently copy and paste the URL from the address bar as well as copying and pasting from web pages. I've never run into this problem. Is it possible that you have one or more extensions installed that is causing this problem?
Oh, and I don't think I've ever cut something out of Firefox, only copied.
Only seems to be a problem with input boxes like the address bar or input fields on forms.
I know the IE tab extention rewrites stuff in the address bar so It might be part of the problem, but I use it almost once a day.

As I said, I removed all my extensions today, and am at FF 1.5.0.3. We will see if this fixes the problem.
