Post by: Darren Dirt on May 31, 2006, 03:38:21 PM
The Giant List of Classic Game Programmers - reminisce about the undisputed "Golden Age (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_age_of_video_games)"... from the perspective of those who actually MADE the games.

Al Lowe is there... and a bunch of the best Atari* programmers like Ed Logg, Bob Flanagan, Mark Cerny, David Akers... They're all in there (http://www.dadgum.com/giantlist/list.html)  :)

...Ah, the times of pure creativity and simple fun...  8)

And dont' even get me started on the old Compute! Magazine days... (http://www.dadgum.com/giantlist/archive/hague.html) ;D

*Why am I focusing specifically on Atari games? Look up the names I listed, amazing the creative and *fun* games they were responsible for! So many of quarters during my adolescence and teen years... Thanks, guys, for the pure gaming joy that is rarely experienced these days!

Al Lowe, that's enough just to get your interest piqued... The rest is gravy.

And yeah, wow, you have perhaps surpassed my record. May 2006 to today, that's... how long? ;)
