What if all your favourite movies predated 1950?

So I thought to look up the proper definition of steampunk, and ended up finding http://www.steampunkgirls.com/ (http://www.steampunkgirls.com/).
Wow, there really is a site for *every* fetish out there.

Oh, and don't worry, it's work safe.

Hah! Those fake movie titles are great!

I have to wonder what the olde tymey version of Hackers would be like.
Saboteurs:
The scene opens with a bunch of kids standing behind a kid madly working the shuttle on a floor loom. Urchin 1: "Whoah! Look at that HYPERTHREADING!"

Ah Steampunk. It may only cover a single variation, but I consider this (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/) pretty much an ideal defenition of classic historical Steampunk. Springs, gears, and steam engines based off of the era the book is set in culminating in machines far beyond their time. "It just looks like a phneumatic nut cracker... Wait! You're keeping this in a populated area?!" Good times!

Gormenghast is good too. So's the Steel Tsar.

Steampunk has its "black sheep", mind you -- the movie "Wild Wild West" isn't exactly memorable in any good way ;)
