The Viral Video Hall of Fame
Here are 12 Web clips that transfixed and tickled us -- every time we got them in our inbox
(as of 26Jul2006 of course -- I wonder if the Mentos+DietCoke (http://forums.righteouswrath.com/index.php/topic,3221.msg23515.html#msg23515) video
s are included? :P)
-JibJab's 2004 Presidential Campaign Spoof
-Brokeback to the Future (actually very well done considering the CRAP ones out there)
-The Numa Numa Guy (I swear he was hired by "O-Zone" ;) )
-Triumph at the 'Attack of the Clones' Premiere (?)
-Tom Cruise Kills Oprah (countless YTMNDs created based on that ;D )
-Chinese Backstreet Boys (?)
-Shining (CLASSIC! upper 1 percentile of remixed movie trailers, with a close second I think = Garden State's "murder mystery")
-Orson Welles' Champagne Commercial (ouch?)
-Dancing Baby (ouch.)
-Super Friends Whassup (and thus ignited the audience for Space Ghost and Sea Lab and whatnot ;) )
-Air Force Academy Dancer (?)
-Lazy Sunday (SNL "hyper-serious rap video" re. Chronicles of Narnia -- I found a funny version with animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCHVdSwBzVE&search=Lazy%20Sunday%20parnell))
I highly doubt these were in order of viralitynessousness... and anyone's guess re. the exclusion of "Star Wars Kid", "All Your Base", and of course, any of the "exuberant"ly brilliant Flash movies with Colin Mochre :-\
Um, yikes. The best part of all this crazy viral crap is that if you got it when it was going around it was cool, if you're finding it out now or feel it necesarry to rank them? Kind of meh.
Like watching the Oscars (or any other media awards show) as useless as tits on a bull.

Ya, those are sort of big ones they missed.
