Ah, gotcha...
Good God, I've actually seen the LazyTown version on TV :o That's it, I'm locking the damn cable box so that only adult shows get through, and all that kids' crap gets blocked!

different video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGXjNxG6FNc&search=You%27re%20a%20Pirate%20AMV), surprisingly well synced-up :)
Lazytown: more info (http://www.lazytown.com/about/faq#About_LazyTown).
Oh, according to that video, pirates are always in search of "precious booty" -- ha, ha, you said BOOTY! ;D
I used to think kids programming from France or Japan was weird; ICELAND FTW!

Used to?? Japan is still weird (http://tvinjapan.com/blog/2006/07/21/super-weird-japanese-spacekidsanimationawesome-show/)
A TV program that is all about making kids want to go outside and play. But for the message to get across, the kids have to sit inside watching the TV. Hmm. Stupid? Christ, how about making a TV show that is just static (snow)? Then the kids will get bored and flip channels. But what if it's on all the channels? Then the kids'll *have* to turn off the TV! And turn on the computer... You can't win.
AGH IT'S STUCK IN MY BRAIN!
You know, that's a surprisingly punchy/catchy song for a kids' show. Both of those hosts can sing pretty well and the song is as accurate as it needs to be (lol, booty lol, limewire).
Kind of reminds me of the Loituma Girl (http://dojo.fi/~rancid/loituma__.swf) though. (Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loituma_Girl))
GAH not that again! IN MY BRAIN!

THAT reminds me of the theme from Gilligan's Island.
The lyrics remind me of the chorus for this ere old song (http://weebls-stuff.com/toons/crabs/).
haha "crabs", oh, I get it :o
This! Dinosaur! Is! Dumb! (http://weebls-stuff.com/toons/Dumb+Dinosaur/) (previous toon in the series)
^ OMG! Previous to the "Dinosaur" is something even LESS making-sense-y: British WTF galore! (http://weebls-stuff.com/toons/krentz+and+the+hand+of+shame+2/) (sadly, watching it a *second* time actually makes it all make sense :o)

Replace the tune in your brain with this silly song (http://weebls-stuff.com/toons/dugong/)

Krentz and "teh hand" explained: "...The cartoon revolves around two main characters in completely bizarre and nonsensical situations. Its' quirkiness suggests Homfray created the series to make fun of the senseless animations which are found on the internet." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krentz_and_The_Hand_Of_Shame)
PS: Weebl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonti_Picking) is probably brain damaged. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weebl%27s_cartoons) !
Weeble just hasn't put out anything as catchy a Badger Badger or the first Magical Trevor.
I would say that the Pirates is more brain infecting with that Loituma Girl close behind

Bringing this thread back to the front, I found out that Stefan Karl (the main villain in the show) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and set up a GoFundMe
https://www.gofundme.com/2tm9tqk
As with anything online he has been a meme for some time (starting with the "You Are a Pirate" song) and his friends have been helping raise awareness by resurrecting memes.
Anyway, long story short, the response has been tremendous and as thanks I guess they will be re-creating one of the more iconic (and meme-worthy) sequences
QuoteHello friends -- Just a quick update -- We would like to show our thanks for all the good wishes and donations. And so we are making arrangements for Stefan to make a Youtube live appearance in December to speak directly with you. And an added bonus: for all those fans of "We Are Number One" (https://youtu.be/PfYnvDL0Qcw) -- how would you like to see a live re-creation of that song featuring Stefan and the actors who appeared with him in the video??? Stay tuned!
It amazes me sometimes how generous people can be online
