Well, it is a pocket watch, which meets my criteria, but I'm not sure if the novelty is worth $30 more then a 7-11 pocket watch :)

7-11 has pocket watches? I through they only sold those plastic style wrist watches, that don't let your skin breath and fall apart after a week or a few days.

The one downtown has pockets watches in a variety of novelty shapes, from jet fighters to soccer balls, to Canadian flags.  I had one a while back, but I dropped it too many times and the lense cracked.

You should get an army surplus wristwatch like I did (off eBay), mine has no metal parts, is easy to read, has a bubble lens and can survive being sucked through a jet engine.

On the downside, it's loud and it's olive green.

Here's a version of what I have:
Vietnam GI Olive Military Watch (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vietnam-GI-Olive-Military-Watch_W0QQitemZ180015690897QQihZ008QQcategoryZ588QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Mine was a heck of a lot cheaper though. (They must be popular now)
