That's an excellent idea.  The more people want to develop for it, the more people will buy the hardware...

Probably a good way for talented developers to get noticed as well.

This has been a complaint of "gamers" for a while.  A company hasnt truely embraced the indy scene and I guess this is about as close as Microsoft can come to it.
