OK, weird topic, but I had to vent a bit. I would think if you are going to offer Split Screen, you should offer System Link/Live. But my beef is the other way around. So many of my friends don't have a 360, and I don't have a spare TV even if they did. Yeah I know that is what Live is for, but when I think consoles, I always think of the party concept. I guess it's now just a virtual party, but I still like having the guys over for some drinks and playing a bit of console right there.
Why vent? Well cause I think a game I'm looking forward for the co-op is System Link/Live only co-op. I kinda like the split screen option as well.
Crackdown btw is the game.
What are your guy's thoughts?
For the friends with the 360, all I can think of is that your or them would have to cough up $40 for aXbox 360 VGA cable (http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=XBOX360_Accessories&product=5810292) and hook that to one of your spare computer monitors, and then use some spare computer speakers and a y-adapter for sound. I agrree that it still suck that you can't play the game with your friends who don't have an XBox 360.
I would like to say that I feel your pain, but I don't :) My buds have 360's so XBL play is not a problem. My pain is of the other way, why offer Split Screen co-op but NOT offer XBL co-op like Halo 2???!
