I think I like cracked.com...

Understatement ;)

Cracked also has a nice collection of "local access TV" clips including of course The Spirit of Troof (http://www.cracked.com/index.php?name=News&sid=1649&pageid=5) and The Most Patient TV Host In The World (http://www.cracked.com/index.php?name=News&sid=1649&pageid=4). Swearing being broadcast live with a probably-single-digit audience is FUNNY! ;D

I hadn't seen one of the clips that Cracked.com now introduced to me.

Now it's my fave.

LET'S PAINT! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvbL_5rH1QQ)
It's unintentionally funny even from the beginning, but if you are impatient, the really insane stuff starts around 3.5 minutes in -- not sure if it was the director or the cameraman whose drugs finally kicked in? :o

the host is on eBay, selling his painted wares

Quote
...After a couple of years spoofing talk shows and the Home Shopping Network, Kilduff realized that if he combined his first calling as a painter with the ramshackle seat-of-your-pants inventiveness of cable access, he'd produce something new -- a mutant strain of instructional art television.

Boisterous, irreverent and surreal, Let's Paint TV is nevertheless utterly sincere in its espousal of painting as a path of creative liberation. If anything, it jettisons the inverse snobbery of the Bob Ross tradition, assuming a sophisticated audience informed by the inescapable influence of Modernism and the indeterminate sincerity of post -- Saturday Night Live television. It turns out Let's Paint TV is indeed a clever parody of Bob Ross and company, but -- like so much parody, from Don Quixote to the novelty music of Spike Jones -- this one turns out to be better art than that at which it pokes fun...

Epic thread resurrection!

And epic that Cracked.com is still just as damn addictive, 8 years later!

...And uber-epic that the treadmill-walking greenscreen background painting guy in a suit video is still there on YT after all these years  :o

I'm guessing he makes some decent coin from his eBay offerings @ http://www.ebay.com/usr/johnkilduff-fineart

I mean yeesh $500 for a roll of toilet paper! http://www.ebay.com/itm/181568488451

Also, that LA Weekly article linked above, the URL slightly changed, worth a read: http://www.laweekly.com/arts/the-joy-of-painting-saddam-2138759
