Title: Music & Life, A bit of wisdom from Alan Watts
Post by: Mr. Analog on September 27, 2007, 05:31:32 PM
I've had something of an epiphany this year about my approach to life and work and how to keep them balanced, and this animation puts it forth rather straightforwardly. (Found thru StumbleUpon):

Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments in that flash animation.  My father was always focused on making more, more, more money.  As a result, I grew up without a dad around and generally in poverty (he did a poor job of making more, more, more).  My dad figured he'd find enjoyment in his work, I see work as a means to allow me to find enjoyment in life.

Of course, a big part of it all is making enough money to live the life you want to live.  That's always easier for those who are willing to live more simply than those who want to live in luxury.
