So in trying to connect to Mr. A.'s FTP site, I pored over the settings for my router. On one of the last tabs of the interface, I noticed the log. In the log, I noticed that a wireless device is requesting and getting dynamic IPs.
What the hell? My laptop is off!
So I poke around some more... Maybe someone's figured out my clever WEP key?
Hey, I don't recognize that MAC address... What gives?
So I change my WEP key and restart the device...
And my Wii starts flashing...
So I turn it on...
I go into the configuration and test the connection to the Internet. Sure enough, it can't connect anymore. What the hell? How did a hacker block my Wii? From my own router??
And then it dawns on me, that wireless device was my Wii! DUHH!!
lol, that is why I always hate messing with my router. I tend to forget to open ports or update devices to match my new settings.
Can someone other than Thorin humour me and hit my FTP site please?
Keeping in mind I have that problem when trying to use Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 6 to connect to it. SmartFTP connects ok, thanks to it auto-switching from Passive to Active mode.
