First time since Wii launch I would wager.  Guess a AAA title does have an effect on console sales after all.  187.1K copies of Halo sold in just a week.  Mighty impressive.

PS3 still lagging behind.  I keep hearing the "it'll catch up, just you wait and see", but for that to happen doesnt it need to sell more then the other 2 at some point?  The gap gets larger and larger with each passing month.

I'm also a little surprised at how many plunked down the rude amount for the legendary edition of Halo 3.  Thats pretty hardcore.

I'm rather surprised to see Wii Play in the top 10.  It came out a while ago, and IMHO it sorta sucks as a game.  It's got that extra Wii Remote in it to sweeten the deal, but still...

PS3 is lagging behind even PS2 in the figures you posted there.  That's like the GameCube selling better than the Wii, or the Xbox selling better than the Xbox360.

I think that the very reason why Wii PLay is selling so well, with the wiimote included isnt the game only like $20?  The bundle idea was a pretty good idea I guess.

As for the PS2 selling so well, they have a hell of a library.  1UP editors are always praising that machine.  Wait till Sony drops that machine down to $99 or lower.  Now that the PS3 is phasing out backwards compatibility...

PS2 still has some life in it it seems. I'm rather surprised how well the Wii has sold this year. They really found a market it would seem.

Now that the PS3 has scratch backwards compatibility...wonder if that will increase PS2 or decrease it in the longtermish.

I suppose it depends on if publishers still release titles for it.

They are, and big titles too.  Guitar Hero 3 is coming out for the PS2.  You just cant ignore 100m+ console owners so easily.  I bet the GH3 game sells most on PS2.  Though Madden sales prove that theory wrong...
