Okay, my parents actually own a Dutch copy of Johan en Pirrewiet where the Smurfs are first introduced, and I grew up playing with little plastic smurfs, and my sister actually had a framed picture of Smurfette on her wall, so... I'm really excited to hear that there's a 3D movie in the works!

Although I didn't know the Smurfs joined UNICEF in a scare-the-people-into-helping campaign in Belgium back in 2005...

There's a 3D movie in the works? As a fan of Smurfs growing up (especially the Smurfs and the Magic Flute) I have to say: awesome.
Oh, I hope they get the old voice actors like Danny Goldman for the English version!
