Title: feel guilty for music file sharing?

"Dear Rockers - Paying Back Musicians, Five Bucks At A Time"

I like the fact that he (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darren_Barefoot) includes a photo of each of his "apology" letters... and still has a streaming audio player for most of them :)

As much as I enjoy the humour it promotes the wrong message. The artists don't get the money.

We need to kill the organizations that feed on the idea that music needs to be distributed by some kind of infrastructure.

Good stuff though!

Agreed. So it's an even BETTER way of paying the actual artists -- file sharing, test and discard or pay direct!

No - I don't feel guilty at all.  In fact, since we don't have a choice in paying the blank-media tax I typically encourage people to exploit their legal right to private copying, and get their money's worth for that tax.
