lol @ Thorin

Wow, that's huge news. Without a doubt there's a whole lot to remember Gary Gygax by. The most obvious one being his hand in the creation of Dungeons and Dragons which has flowered out, still to this day entertaining game enthusiasts and inspiring new systems as it developed. His and Dave Arneson's work has carved an unmistakeable niche in the fantasy world. D&D's system paved the way for hit points and levelling systems in video games like Final Fantasy. The mythos spawned from games has been an inspiration to fantasy writers, artists, and others.

It's kind of funny to think just last night I was talking to someone about the definition of Evil in the original D&D vs. Chaotic in the AD&D system. His work has certainly made a dent in my life. May he rest in peace.

(It's unbelieveably hard to resist making a joke involving a saving throw at the Pearly Gates here)

Tempted to put in some sort of random missed saving throw pip. But, it is sad news indeed.

BTW, for those who might have missed it Jeff Healey passed away yesterday due to cancer. These things seem to happen in Three's, think I might stay in my home for a few days.

I'm pretty sure he had a Deity, so all we need now is a very large perfect Diamond...

I think this (http://news.google.com/news?q=Patrick%20Swayze%20pancreatic%20%20cancer) qualifies, considering the type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancreatic_cancer#Prognosis) of cancer. :(
