pre-release predictions and baseless flames, anyone?
Yes, now lets move along. That shark jumped ages ago.
Okay, good. Just making sure.
Let's examine the evidence shall we:
- Based on a programme that FINISHED it's run over 5 years ago? Check
- Based on a programme that already had a "meh" movie? Check
- Based on a programme that had it's best plots in the first three years? Check
- ...but kept going anyway? Check
- ...and lost its lead character actor? Check
- ...and had an unsuccessful spin-off? Check
To my knowledge the only
really good movie to have EVER had all these checks against it AND STILL come out on top is the 1989 Batman, which was an effing magic trick in itself.
X-Files is not half as interesting OR deep as the
Batman mythos.
I wish the FBI would open an X-File on Hollywood and figure out what demon-beast keeps approving TERRIBLE @%ING MOVIE IDEAS.
P.S. I am implying that
Transformers was only "ok".
