Somebody I watch on dA is very, very ill, he has spinal cancer and problems with his immune system and just recently been nailed with chronic pancreatitis...
Kinda puts reality in perspective, he created some great renders of classic sci-fi stuff like Dr. Who, Star Trek and others...
