Wow, these guys (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bremner,_Bird_and_Fortune) are very much like the Stewart and Colbert of Britain, methinks ^_^ So easy to expose the hard truths and absurdity of publicly-accepted bovine fecal matter with straight-faced satire (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Bremner+Bird+and+Fortune).  :D

(And on the subject of the "sub-prime" crisis etc. , also see what federal regulation really means (http://www.lewrockwell.com/north/north657.html) ... and if your curiosity is piqued by the claim "The problem, above all, is the Federal Reserve System", then take the time to check this out (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._Edward_Griffin#The_Creature_from_Jekyll_Island))

Thanks, that link is to a lucid blog post discussing the current financial "crisis" occurring in the United States.  I generally agree with what the author is saying there - people and corporations who sign contracts should be held to those contracts, for better or worse.

Glad you liked it. About half the time Mr. North says amazingly complicated and controversial things in a brief and articulate way, and the other half of the time he seems kinda nuts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_North#Theological_beliefs) or at least an extreme panic-monger. He may have been "wrong" about Y2K but he certainly knows a lot about economic principles especially when they are ignored by well-meaning bureacrats...

another excellent thought-provoking article...
http://www.sunnimaravillosa.com/node/1460 (mainly about the so-called "free market" and how the recent events reveal its non-existence, since after all it's not exactly a "free country" (http://www.thepriceofliberty.org/04/03/03/sunni.htm) anymore, is it...)
