Yep, that's right, even
adult movie makers are feeling the pain of the recession...
Quote
In good times and in bad, sin sells; booze, tobacco and sex have all weathered countless economic storms over the centuries.
This recession is a little different, though. It's been extremely challenging for adult filmmakers, who are not only wrestling with anemic consumer spending, they're also competing with a nearly infinite supply of free, amateur videos from countless user-generated sites, not to mention a glut of traditional inventory.

Now you know we're in for a world of hurt...

Maybe now that "quick fixes" are so prolific on the internet they might actually have to start making up real plots for mainstream porn!

Admittedly that's an easy dig at porn. From a financial perspective it's interesting. The porn industry is worth billions. What happens if it recedes? Where does all that money go?
Was it ever really all that "necessary" of an industry in the first place?
My perspective is it's a form of really hyped-up entertainment medium that'll be hit just as hard or possibly harder than other types of entertainment. It's a recession, people get afraid to spend on frivolous things and boy howdy is pr0n ever frivolous. Shortest return on investment ever.
WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE PORN!?!?

I think that depends on the person ;D
They'll have to make discount porn, with clothes and stories and ideas.

I don't know, I would wager that a typical purchased porno gets replayed more than a regular video purchase in a year.
Now if you rate value by $$ / viewing time it may be less due to fast forwarding to the good parts.
