Title: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, summed up perfectly

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, summed up perfectly

is it "an excruciatingly long explosionfest with an incomprehensible plot"?

Sure, but the real question is, how much worse is Michael Bay compared to other noteable, and highly-respected, "summer blockbuster" directors?

PS: here's why I've basically moved solidly into the "avoid ANY trailers" camp:

there is nothing you can learn about a movie beforehand that will heighten your enjoyment of the movie. Trailers can certainly heighten your anticipation, and make you count down the days before you can line up and gladly wait three hours to be the very first to see something. But the tradeoff is, you know what?s coming.

I liked this movie.  I didn't like it as much as the first, but I liked this movie.  Like G. I. Joe, I seem to be alone mostly in this though...

I was commenting in general not at you DD.  Seems not many liked the movie among my friends and family.

My son really liked Revenge of the Fallen.  I didn't go see it, damn kids using my movie money for themselves.  But he likes it so much he wants us to buy the DVD.

I saw G.I. Joe in the theater and I liked that, so you're not alone Mel.  I found the G.I. Joe movie to mesh well with my memories of playing with them as a kid; i.e. thin plot, lots of booms, and joes flying through the air for various reasons.  And I thought they did a good job of setting Snake Eyes against Storm Shadow in the movie, even though it was completely different than canon.  But hey, "When I met your father he was a great pilot"...  I guess ignoring canon is mainstream now, right?
