Title: What's up with the "Beep" driver in Windows 7

You know that annoying PC speaker "beep"? Apparently there was some difficulty porting that over to Windows 7, but for interesting reasons! Take a look at this fun piece of Windows history :)

If only people hadn't used Beep(), then Microsoft could have quietly slipped it out of there ages ago.

*beep* microsoft... whenever I change the volume using the "Volume Control" setting it beeps (but the "Wave" setting it does not, *beep* you Windows dev team...)
