So I've been keeping pace with this one, and all I can is I think I might be getting back into the MMO scene with this release. Watching Videos on YouTube with the Timeline reports for the game, and the dev videos on the website, I think I am hooked.

The concept of Story Lines is a great idea and BioWare knows how to pull those off. We had similar things in Asheron's Call 2 that Mags and I started years ago in our first MMO. I am eager to get back to a MMO with such character, world and faction story development. Makes you want to play the game to see what is next, not just to get to that level cap or that uber gear like most MMOs today. What do you guys think about this MMO if you have been following?
So I'm thinking of taking the dive when it is released; anyone else with me? I'd like to play with friends this time, as I tried a jump-in by myself concept with LOTRO, and although the guild I was with was awesome, the game just didn't have the appeal. I'm looking for a casual scheduled play time with friends, to see how much havok or heroism we can bring to this new Star Wars Universe!
Nope, between work and children I only have so much free time.
I wish I had to the time to devote regularly...

Ya, well I have half as many kids as you and none of them are in sports yet.

Drool!
Maybe Bioware and Blizzard should get together and make a movie. And maybe Lucas Arts too (see new Force unleashed 2 Trailer).
No! LucasFilm should definitely NOT make another CG movie *shudder*.
Trailers and game cutscenes, even 30 min tv series maybe but NOT MOVIES.
Y'know getting into an MMO might be good for me.
One of the things I'm worried about is when Tonnica moves out that I'm going to get lonely (though with all the stuff I'm hosting on dA it's debatable).
If I can dual wield lightsabres I'm in!
Ha-shaaa!

Oh yeah, you sure can!
And what I was looking for here was a Casual involvement, maybe once or twice a week we could all join each other for a couple of hours online. With a high integration of personal story and a conversation system like Mass Effect, I don't think there will be as much pressure on the grind as there will be on the story. Which means it should be easy enough to move at your own pace!

That's what I'm after, like one or two nights a week. So I don't go nuts
You mean more nuts :)
Mel, no grind? Are you sure? It's an MMO, don't they always have grind?

Well yeah LOL
I guess I don't mind much grind, as long as I can do it with people I know... and lightsabres!
I gotta get back into casual multiplayer games.

Well every RPG has a grind of some type. Killing for XP to level cause the next dungeon is a little to hard etc... but from what I am reading there shouldn't be as much as previous MMOs. This one is supposed to be more Story and Character development focused.
What this means in the end... time will tell. But they definitely have a very rich setting and content released even before the game itself hits beta.
