Cool. Probably.
With the proliferation of cheap 3D webcams etc I can't say I'm surprised.
I'm still surprised that 3D has caught on at all, I am silently hoping for a return to cool looking cars and good music...

Youtube providing 3D capability = win (cuz it's free, you just need virtually ANY kind of 3D glasses)
current TVs providing 3D capability = omgareyou@%ingkiddingme (cuz it's quite the opposite of free, can you imagine spending $300 on a single pair of 3D glasses? Sure, the tech is kinda cool, and apparently even "normal" HD broadcasts get even more crisp and it's hard to "go back" to the non-3D viewing ... but at what cost? Apparently, a very high one, not exactly mainstream-affordable, yet.)
I was thinking more the trend in movies at the Theatre.
I recently saw Toy Story 3 in 3D and it was okay, but it didn't wow me.

BTW, the "example" video is from "Captain Disillusion", quite a standout video character among the web lame-os, high production values + solid science/logic + funny = WIN!
http://captaindisillusion.com/main/2010/06/30/old-spice-questions-fx-breakdown/ <-- that commercial SO bugs me...
I didn't want to check the links until I go home and get out my Harold Lloyd 3D glasses! :-D
