FYI for those who wish they had another data capable phone or simply do not use a phone often but find it handy, you can now add get data on Speakout.
Officially you can only get it with the two new data capable phones however if you know how to change your APN and proxy settings on your (unlocked) phone you can get it to work

They run the traffic through an http /https proxy so it is more limited than a true dataplan however you can browse and use most http/https applications that support proxies.
