Boy they sure had a lot of takers for the Troi and Wesley roles LOL
Wesley Snipes would have been badass there! (oops, thinking 90s Wesley Snipes)
Passenger 57 totally rocked imo -- and The Snipes made Demolition Man totally awesome too (balancing out the Stallone scenery chewing and Ms. Bullock's fail)
Demolition Man is one of my all time fav movies. I will agree that Stallone isn't the greatest actor, but I must disagree about Sandra! There isn't a movie of hers I don't like ;).
And Wesley... well I can't think of many movies of his I don't like either.
If you like Wil Wheaton you really should check out the last two seasons of "The Guild" (FREE on line and Xbox live Zune)
Blech! You guys are nuts!!
Snipes was the only thing that made Demolition Man watchable, everything else was like a Simpsons episode and/or a Universal Studios movie-themed ride. It actually made Total Recall seem cerebral in comparison (YIIIIIIIKES).
As for Sandra... it's hard to believe someone with her talents (see: The Blind Side if you haven't already) got noticed because of her rather horrible role in that movie, in comparison her role in Speed seems like Lady MacBeth.
I will say nothing about Sly, he is so hit or miss and completely ate up Demolition Man the same way he absorbed Judge Dredd.
Mind you DM is a cut above a lot of other action movie pap that was out and about around the same time if I recall. 1993 (?) was not exactly a hot year for action flicks...
Reggie Jackson as Geordi? As in the baseball player?

So Reggie Jackson is washed up and too old to play anything but a civil servant?
and PS: (i.e. missed this...)

me = confused, since ALL of us "guys" said that Snipes knocked it out of the park in Demolition Man... or are you saying that nothing else in it was good? Cuz I kinda agree with you, I mean the Denis Leary scenes practically had a telephone in them.
But also, I agree "Sandy" (as her friends call her) has some serious acting talent, just in DM (and also in Speed, yes, I said it) she really didn't show anything of significance was there. (I think even Mel has to admit that ;) )
Kinda like Ben Affleck in ... pretty much everything other than Changing Lanes and The Town.

Not what I meant, but if you want to take it that way, fine by me ;)

Yeah! I think we're on the same wavelength here
