I know we on this forum are probably disproportionately high users but still, I know I spend a lot of time online. Way more than anything else...

i heard about this a while ago. but i had wondered when the usage based billing thing became such a stink what it would do to those stats.

Well, the toothpaste is out of the tube now, I doubt people would go back to passively watching television even if there was a big spike in cost. The only thing that a bandwidth cap would achieve is a slowing of growth in services like Netflix.

toothpaste out of the tube...  I immediately pictured kids jumping on full toothpaste tubes until the lids popped off and toothpaste squirted everywhere.

Yeah, we've figured out that the internet is interesting.

As for Netflix growth, well, we don't have Netflix but my kids have figured out they can watch their TV shows on Youtube.
