Here's something I just learned: As of April 5th, Shaw started redirecting missed searches to its own search help system:

Imagine that, they're hijacking your browser, and it's opt-out instead of opt-in. Now, I can understand that they may be trying to stop people from getting hit by drive-by malware, but it's just as likely that they want to collect all that search data so they can sell it.
Yarg, I just switched DNS back to Shaw like 2 days ago... jerks!
Its a darn good thing I don't use Shaw's DNS.
