Title: Rob Malda (CmdrTaco) resigns from Slashdot
Post by: Mr. Analog on August 25, 2011, 10:49:44 AM
After 14 years of running the show Rob is leaving Slashdot. He originally started another similar blog style site called Chips & Dips but it wasn't until 2007 that /. was officially born.

It's hard to believe I've been following the site since January 1999 and all the changes that have come and gone in that time, how /. has evolved from some guy's personal "hey this is neat" blog to a rallying point for nerds to mediocrity to a kind of modern resurgence, the one constant though was Rob Malda.

In the wake of Jobs stepping down and no more CmdrTaco... well the internet just got a bit smaller today (for me anyways).
