Title: Google News Changes (or how to get the 2 column view back)
Post by: Mr. Analog on October 20, 2011, 04:49:13 PM
Google changed their GUI for News today:
http://news.google.com/

The big change are the font attributes, articles widgets and a single column display.

If you're like me and prefer the 2 column display you can change it by clicking the "Gear" icon on the @%&#Bar and config it. Sadly nothing can be done about the font settings without GreaseMonkey. I suspect a script will come out later that lets you read articles in a the "old style".

Is it "evil" to have an interface imposed on you that makes your brain go "hey, wait... SOMETHING is different here... but close enough to the old layout that it's actually MORE distracting than if it was completely reworked..."

Nah, just mildly annoying.
