Snowing!
I guess summer is over?
What? Where? Nothing at NAIT.
Up here in Hermitage :)
I guess that's where I am now.
listen all of y'all it's a hermitage
Listen all of y'all it's a Hermitage
LISTEN' ALL OF Y'ALL IT'S A HERM-I-TAGE
Cah-cah-cah-can't stand it you know I planned it
But I'm gonna set it straight this Northgate
...
Though the errant flakes we had have now dissipated.

An' yeah, it's kinda cold out. Normals for this time of year is +2/-8, and they're forecasting -3/-13. So off by about 5 degrees. But hey, we had _warmer_ than seasonal last week.
It was -16 this morning when I took out the papers and the trash.
Or I don't get no spendin' cash
If I don't scrub the kitchen floor
I ain't gonna rock n' roll no more
Yakety yak (don't talk back)
*saxophone solo*
Now it's really snowing
Snow Snow go away, comeback a-never-day.

Now it's really snowing
Now it's too dark to see any of the nasty white stuff... :P
Roads were scary when I went to the rink. I saw a car behind me put his right front tire up on the curb, which then swung him around and he slid sideways into a tree. I was busy trying to stop so I wouldn't slide into any cars in front of me. Took me longer to stop from 20km/h than it normally takes from 60km/h.
Ugh, I can't wait until the bus ride tomorrow...
WFH?
You all sound surprised as if it doesn't happen almost every year.

I'm not surprised, I just don't like it.

Exactly
I will say that I was surprised at the extreme slipperiness of the roads here in St Albert last night while it was snowing. It's been since before I had kids that the first snow of the season (well, second) actually saw me contemplating using curbs and trees to slow me down so I didn't slide into cross-traffic.
Nevertheless you're right, first real snow of the season always results in slippery roads and sidewalks. And it _did_ look pretty coming down.
Yes, it's very greasy out and yet, not much ice so far.
Suffice to say I was taking my time getting to the bus stop this morning.

FYP ;) ...sidewalks sure gave me quite a workout as my leg muscles micro-adjusted practically every step...
Yeah, not only have to get used to wearing boots again but real slippery sidewalks (and yet, like I say, no ice)
