The nail in the coffin was placed some time earlier this year with Silverlight, with HTML5 taking over it's not a surprise that Flash player is dying where Adobe will stay strong though is their line of authoring tools.
So just wait, soon annoying "Flash" HTML5 ads will be on your iPhone :D
