no parms = count up

For a countdown timer, try:
http://cd.justinjc.com/5 to countdown 5 minutes
http://cd.justinjc.com/1h10m12s to countdown 1 hour 10 minutes 12 seconds
http://cd.justinjc.com/515pm to countdown to 5:15pm

add as a Chrome/Firefox custom search engine: timer http://cd.justinjc.com/%s

The live count is also kept in the page's title, visible in your browser tabs.

There might be 300 JavaScript countdown timers out there, but this one just happened to catch our eye for its convenience and adaptability.

"It's much faster than adding an alarm to your phone, calendar, or alarm clock program."

Still not as cool as having a person read out the self-destruct countdown over the loudspeaker (as the good guys storm your secret base)

I think it's cool because of how QUICKLY you can add a timer and then "setitandforgetit", it's visible in your taskbar too for handy glances downward while you're killing time for a specific # of minutes (e.g. me at work end of day, about to catch a bus/train at a certain time)
