Hmmm this is what, the 3rd or 4th high profile Game project funded by Kickstarter in the last few months... Granted it is by established developers but it begs the question. Are the publishers scared yet?

Does this mean publishers will be limited to dealing with the startups, and once anyone puts out a hit they can just convert to kickstarter funding?

I don't think they're freaked out yet, but I'm sure they're closely watching the results from these type of projects.
