Frontiersman Opens New Hotel
Well-known frontiersman ThorinC has opened the Frontier Hotel in a new push to settle the southwest. With it's front gate at +47,+760 (http://mc.tomasu.org/#/47/64/760/max/0/0), the hotel sits on Flat Top Hill, overlooking two lagoons and with beautiful oaks and birch trees on three sides. Frontier Hotel puts your safety first, with lighting all around and a tall fence built to keep out spiders. There are two gates through the fence, one north and one south.
The building itself is a beautiful stone brick with lots of windows to let in the light, along with a marvellous sandstone stepped roof. A small garden on the grounds grows wheat, and a reflecting pool in the grounds provides clean water and a place to reflect on the solitude of nature.
There is also an entrance to the Southern Underground, a safe passageway that connects several locations built in the south. While primitive by comparison to any of Spawn City's underground railways, the Southern Underground allows one to traverse a long distance without worrying about creepers, zombies, spiders, or any other nasties along the path.
New Hotel a Lifelong Dream for ThorinC
When ThorinC first left Spawn City, he dreamed of settling a new land and blazing the trail for future generations. As with most frontiersmen, his first priority was survival, and with that in mind ThorinC built the Underground Abode (still located at -20,+698 (http://mc.tomasu.org/#/-20/64/698/max/0/0)). From here, ThorinC mined into the ground to build up reserves of resources and to plan his next move.
After building up the Underground Abode, ThorinC headed west, eventually building Longview Cabin on the edge of the desert (found at -207,627 (http://mc.tomasu.org/#/-207/64/627/max/0/0)). After gathering many new resources (especially sand from the desert and stone from beneath the cabin), ThorinC decided to travel back to the Underground Abode. Unfortunately, he lost his way and was left for dead by several creepers. In response to this brush with death, ThorinC decided to create an overland road to help navigate between the two locations. Longview Road exists to this day, built out of cobblestone and pointing the way to safety.
Around Longview Cabin is a beautiful open plain, bordered by a desert. With nary a tree in sight, ThorinC decided to set up the Arboury at +16,+707 (http://mc.tomasu.org/#/16/64/707/max/0/0) to grow the wood he needed for his next project: Frontier Hotel. The Arboury consists of two floating grid roofs that limit the growth of the planted saplings and matching cobblestone bases with specific locations to plant the saplings. This allows growing up to 36 saplings in the west wing and another 36 saplings in the east wing.
Finally, ThorinC had enough resources to build his lifelong dream: Frontier Hotel. A labour of love, ThorinC hopes to attract other hardy folk to help settle the south and then push west with him, past the desert and into new lands, ever exploring.
Future plans include building a rustic railway from Spawn City to Frontier Hotel, building Lazy Lagoon Harbour, and building Circle T Ranch.

Looks impressive... Will have to check it out.
Oh yes, will have to take a trip the wild south west to prospect for some sand, this'll be a great place to stay
The "lifelong dream" section in the article pretty much sums up my first 45+ hours in the game :)
It's getting busy down by Frontier Hotel: http://mc.tomasu.org/#/42/64/732/-1/0/0. In that picture you can see 1. tree farm, 2. Frontier Station, 3. xp farm, 4. barn, 5. Frontier Hotel, 6. sand generator, 7. iLLian's underground railway's northern terminus, 8. DerekVPierce's subway northern entrance.
