What amazes me is that the quality of most is increasing, it's just amazing the sounds people can get out of this gear!
Pretty damn good! I wish I knew how he's getting different sounds out - most of those drives look similar, so you'd think they have similar sounds.

I believe it depends on the read head motor or possition... I seem to recall my Apple IIe going do dooo doooo eeeeee every time it was turned on even if it had no disk in..

I loved that sound, I also liked the sound of the machine counting memory...
