I'm more up for some face-to-face gaming, poker and/or something else that doesn't handicap the folks who haven't put in lots of time in VideoGameX.

It would just be friends co-op against bots, that's why I thought I'd ask here first.

TF2 is a lot like poker (or chess), easy to learn tough to master, also headsets.

Oh well, random internet @%&#ers it is then!

My pleasure! It's just such a fun experience, especially for casual gamers like myself, fun to just pick up and play (plus it's a hilarious darn game).

I figured multiplayer co-op would bring out more people who might feel about anxious about VS gameplay

HOLY BUTT this is fun.

You team up with a bunch of people and defend against wave after wave of robotic nightmares.

Robot spies!
Robot heavies!
Robot Bombs with Legs that want to make love to your sentries!!

This is something we all gotta try one day

Well, no, I also don't have Steam :P  But I remember you getting upset last time you asked something like this and no one answered, so rather than not answering I made sure to post in the non-affirmative.

Well it was like 24 hours with no responses the last time.

What sucks is when I see others on Steam in game later the same day, makes me feel like a real bag of @%&#.

So you can stalk people on Steam, you say?

So you can stalk people on Steam, you say?

1. I have self esteem issues
2. Which means I fear being ostracised
3. Which makes me angry
4. And Irrational

I have Steam open and I do get notifications when people log in and/or start playing games, I don't go out of my way to stalk someone but it it's in a notification window right in front of me LOL

So m'yeah, I look back on it as being silly but y'know whatever. Likely I'll just play a pickup game, Monday night showed me that the matchmaking is actually pretty good and it's a fun game mode to play with anyone.

:)

EDIT: So yeah I just throw that out there if anyone DOES want to play, no big if they can't but it's always good to get feedback either way.

Yepp, I really want to set up some multi-client chat thing. I'm running MSN again with an alt account for art crap and so far so good.

Connecting with people good.

Also, STEAM GOOD, I can send you gifts and there are lots of FTP games (like TF2)

Well yeah, except I really do have less free time than you...  It's why I resisted playing any games for so long.  Hell, even just playing Minecraft has caused me to cut into my sleeping time.

Being self-aware and saying it really helps I find. I'm getting more introspective in my old age lol

Actually that's one of the reasons why I like games like TF2 and Awesomenauts, I can just jump in and do whatever, casual like.

I tend to spend a lot of time socializing and whatnot online and lose track of time heh

That said, I'm looking at GW2 as being a good way of avoiding snow und ice in the coming months :)

Nice.

I want to get that new Sniper gun: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Hitman%27s_Heatmaker

When you build up focus you don't flinch while hit and you don't un-scope. It also decapitates on headshot haha
Title: Re: Mann vs Machine Co-Op
Post by: Mr. Analog on October 04, 2012, 02:48:14 PM
Oh yeah, I got the Heatmaker (well, rather, bought the whole Urban Professional pack)

It's a really good gun, when you do fill the meter (which fills on kills/assists) your next shot sends you into focus mode where you don't de-scope between shots and allows the scope recharge to continue while reloading, as well you don't flinch if you take damage so you can keep a bead on people while scoped. Also on a successful headshot it decapitates, which is just awesome haha.

The downside is it does 20% less damage on body shots (headshot damage is the same), this means you can't one-shot all classes on a full charge with this gun. Also when you are in focus mode tracers will show your position, but honestly most people playing with mics will point out sniper positions.

The silenced SMG is ok, if you manage to kill someone with it you get full crit for 3 seconds with all weapons, it has a smaller clip and a slower rate of fire than the standard SMG, also for a gun with a silencer it's fairly noisy.

To me it the Heatmaker is a direct upgrade to the Sniper Rifle if you are good at headshots or are in situations where you need to take out a group of people accurately for a few seconds. Still not sure if it's for me, the Machina is pretty powerful even with its drawbacks.

Guess I just need more practise headshotting lol
