Okay, so the original D&D movie sucked. It made less money than it cost, and its core audience was vocal about its shortcomings.
So I learned something new today. They made second one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406728/. And a third! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733125/.
What are they thinking?!
...I kinda liked that movie
but then again I like Krull and they're about the same level or so LOL
I actually saw the second one
But then I stopped because I'd rather watch something better like... Catwomen on the Moon
Yeah I enjoyed them myself as well... guilty pleasure I guess.

seems like IMDB'ers ain't giving much love to Gerry Lively, profilic director of mediocrity... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006685/
or maybe it was just horrible scripts?
I liked Krull, too. But then Krull didn't have a cute wizardy girl spouting D&D spell names in awkward dialogue.
On the one hand, they were trying to throw in D&D elements to draw the D&D nerds. On the other hand, they got them all wrong and nothing in the movie can really be reproduced in a gaming session if you go by the rules.
Hahaha, welcome to Hollywood.
Case in point: Super Mario Bros the Movie
It's actually not that bad for what it is, but it sure as heck isn't Super Mario!
