I can't tell you how many projects I've worked on that had the design of a cat but ended up as a dog lol

I like it when I'm given a plan or outline of ten things, and then they say "oh, well we're only going to do the first one right now"...

I absolutely hate "roadmaps" that go on for more than 3 months

Might as well write fantasy fiction!

To me it depends on how granular and precise the roadmap is.  If it's specific features that will be implemented in the next two years, that's too precise.  If it's a vague "tool X interoperability", that's alright by me.  Although that's not really a roadmap anymore, that's a Future Features Wish List.
