Title: chip tunes -- aka 8bit video game music
Post by: Darren Dirt on November 24, 2012, 04:58:55 PM
a week or two ago, there was a brief thread* posted in this forum, linking to some website that had hundreds of them, I think most/all were actually the result of using some algorithm and feeding into it some CD crack keys or stuff like that.

I searched and searched, just can't find that thread*, but I wanted to add this.

Anyone who likes that sort of style of nostalgia-inducing electronica, I discovered today that the always-growing always-awesome streaming greatness @ DI.FM now has a channel for that!

So here ya go --> http://www.di.fm/chiptunes

and since I searched and found these previous threads that talked about "video game music" etc. here's some crosslinking just for the heckuvit.

Video game tunes... (http://forums.righteouswrath.com/index.php/topic,1784.0.html)

Retro Game Tunes. MIDI Art. So Friggin' Awesome. (http://forums.righteouswrath.com/index.php/topic,5889.0.html)

* if anyone actually remembers the title or certain keywords, if you do then ummm, go ahead and link it in this thread, that would be greeeaaaat, mkay?
