On Saturday, as we were picking up garbage in 24+ degree weather, we found some snow and had a little snowball fight.

I WISH THEY'D TURN ON THE G'D AC

Must be nice to have AC. I suppose I could put the AC in the kitchen window, but that's a lot of work.  And it's gonna be cold tomorrow anyway.

At least you have a basement you can retreat to...

At this time of day there is no escape

I know how you feel man. All I have for AC is the ability to open a bunch of windows and doors at night, and some fans. It works rather well though.

Yeah, I can go the basement.  Except all the entertainment devices are upstairs and the basement has filled in with "stuff".  After we had our basement kinda-flood (carpets got soaked but there were just puddles, no marks on the walls), we moved all the furniture out so that we could put new carpet in.  After the new carpet got put in, it was winter and we didn't feel like carting the furniture through the snow from the garage.  So then we had a nice big, empty room.  What better place to put everything that one doesn't feel like putting away properly?

It's not as congested as Tom's the last time I was at his place, but I did have some choice words when the eighth blue bag was put down there instead of properly disposed of.

10:20pm and I am near to cursing my choice to live 4 floors up. At least standing on the balcony = pretty nice cool breeze blowing. Too bad no room for our bed out there, though.

The forecast is now expecting the lowest tonight around 4am = 12ish, maybe 10 ... so yeah, Tarzan couldn't take this kind of hot.

I've got my ceiling fan, two window fans and all my windows open (and one door). It's starting to cool down in here.

Well, it's cooled down now but yeah, it stayed hot until well into the night.

Insane, at 6am it was 8 degrees, at 10pm it was still 25 degrees.

My thermostat says its dropped to 21 inside. Reasonable temperature, so long as it isn't just as hot tomorrow. My cooling trick only works if it actually gets colder at night.

It's still 25 in here, the wind seems to be blowing west->east

I had a rough night, lots on the mind, a friend of mine passed away yesterday from cancer. He'd been sick for a long time but he seemed to be recovering for a little while.

Sorry for your loss, Ron.  Was it someone the rest of us would have known?

The Journal reports that we were the hottest place in Canada: http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Record+breaking+high+makes+Edmonton+hottest+spot+country/8342947/story.html

Also, from that article, last week Tuesday our high was 0.6 degrees, this week Monday our high was 31 degrees.

Ready for the mosquitoes?

Sorry to hear about your friend :(

And yeah, temperature is a lot better today. I think it dropped to around 19c inside before I actually got some sleep. mind was racing for no real reason.

Yep, he was sick for a long time, he knew his time was limited last year, so every day he got from then to now was a blessing.

It's much more comfortable now, so relaxing.
