Title: Every face-rejuvinating mask is Terrible
Post by: Darren Dirt on October 24, 2013, 12:40:16 PM
http://content.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,2011470_2011194_2011158,00.html (list of 25 laughably bad infomercial products (http://content.time.com/time/specials/packages/completelist/0,29569,2011470,00.html))

(but zomg apparently the Michael-Myers-esque blasted thing works!? (http://www.amazon.com/Rejuvenique-RJV10KIT-Facial-Toning-Mask/product-reviews/B00005JHWB/?filterBy=addFiveStar&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending))

Ya, I'm just yanking your chains. Every time someone mentions that Mike Myers, I instantly think of the actor.

I think I need to let Amazon start tracking my clicking habits.  The random suggestions are...  Well, see attached.

Seriously, I think I need to turn off Ghostery and AdBlock and FlashBlock when visiting Amazon.

Well that gives you an idea of what other family members who don't use adBlock might be searching around the net for via your IP address ;)

Let's see what Amazon suggests for me!

...ahh it seems to be associated with that product in particular as I got the exact same list.

Hmm, it seems they no longer recommend things if you aren't logged in...

Okay, Amazon recommends:

Books:
Mega Man 25th anniversary
The Art of Pixar 25th anniv
The Art of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
The Art of Brave

Movies & TV:
... lots and lots of B-movie 4-packs like:
The Man From Planet X
Beyond the Time Barrier (seen it)
The Time Travellers (seen it)
The Angry Red Planet (seen it)

Music:
Cocktails with Cole Porter
Guitar Noir by the Aqua Velvets
The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Music for a Bachelors Den vol 6

Arts, Crafts & Sewing:
Quiller Wheel (colour wheel for all media)
Pro Art pencils
Universal sketch paper
More art pencils...

Office Products:
Prismacolor Blender Pencil
Prismacolor Double Ended Chisel & Fine Tip markers
Prismacolor Art Markers
Prismacolor Soft Core Pencils

Toys & Games:
Bandai & Tamashii Nations Sailor Mars figure
Bandai & Tamashii Nations Mighty Morphin Power Rangers "White Ranger" Figure
Neca Bioshock Infinite Series 1 Elizabeth figure
Bioshock 2 EVE syringe replica

So yeah, I'd say that stuff is eerily close to home, I guess I'll try drawing a Pixar-style version of Sailor Mars while listening to lounge music and watching b-movies... which actually sounds like a good time
