@Mr. Analog was right, last year NCSoft gave Homecoming their blessing to use the IP and continue the game. I'm playing on Everlasting server, but looks like you can character transfer.

To get playing head to https://forums.homecomingservers.com/getting-started/, create a Forums account then once verified you create a Game Account and download the launcher.You cannot view this attachment.You cannot view this attachment.You cannot view this attachment.

Icarus gives off Ark vibes for sure.. Interesting.

Does it have horrible upkeep like Ark (decay / hunger while offline) or is it more just a struggle to advance and explore?

The wood era for sure has horrible decay, but after that, once you get into Stone Work the decay drops off significantly.
