I wonder if it will (out of necessity) quickly turn into the culture depicted so vividly in the classic Heinlein novel? (aka "akin to that of the Old West, tempered by the closeness of death by exposure to vacuum and by the shortage of women")



*btw apparently they extended the deadline a few times, now the competition is open until end of 2016 -- and only one competitor seems to be likely to make it. Apparently gonna try 2 rovers on one rocket, too.
