"Producer Andrew Fischer says the film is authentic... 'The next trailer will show that it's not just some giant elaborate prank'."
Rebuttal ftw: "The YouTube Movie You Don't Have To See"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1853693/board/nest/179930839 "What makes me rage the most is this seems to either be a troll of epic proportions, or a fleeting chance of thouse who felt the spotlight shine on them for but a brief moment tring to force their way onto the stage once again." (one wonders which would be preferable)

* PS: imdb categorization=[Action, Adventure, Fantasy] #zomg

Certainly a B-Movie but the thing is it COULD have wheels if done right

Think about it, you could have the film in 3 parts, the story of how the song came to be, being a one-hit wonder and then falling into obscurity. The rise of the internet and memetic behavior and then finally convergence where a one hit wonder comes back in a big way (possibly leading a new generation of musicians and music lovers into the New Wave pop sound). You could even branch out and show the parallel effects on Eduard Khil, a Soviet era singer virtually unheard of in the West until 2009 or even the rise of K-Pop as a result of Psy and his viral music video.

This is a story that could have a LOT of potential if done right (hell the nostalgia alone for most people would be a sell,) but, I'm gonna guess that it's going to be a jokey b-movie or something IF IT EXISTS AT ALL (that is.)

As a serious DOCUMENTARY I could see it working, in the same way that "Atari: GAME OVER" really worked.

But it looks like* it's a long-not-picked-up-by-a-distributor silly project that gives a handful of Youtubers some kind of film role maybe playing themselves in an alternate universe or something idk... Better be > Meet The Spartans or Vampires Suck and crap like that.

* see these "red carpet" interviews with the "stars" -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOZEFpDPzOw -- apparently there was a "trailer" out there somewhere between 2011 and now, but I couldn't find it.

Actually it's funny you mention the trailer, I found it not long after your post https://goo.gl/m3vydQ

It's goofy for sure but it has some parts that DO look interesting

I think they need to update some of the filming techniques, the cinematography choices make it clear it's not from the modern era, at least a few years old sfobv.

Been working on this since 2011? Or were they finished? I think the above could definitely be tweaked to be less cringe-worthy. Still worth sitting through tho.

Given this is likely the first solo project for many of the people involved I'm willing to cut them some slack, like I say, I was surprised by what I saw
