With the stupid weather we've been having this was inevitable. Stay safe!

Thousands flee from Fort McMurray wildfire in the largest fire evacuation in Alberta's history:

Yeah, it's pretty crazy up there.  Lots of money burning with those houses, too.  Hopefully everyone bought fire insurance.

Also, it's bloody hot out, and it's gonna stay that way all week.
Prayin' for a 20!

Every day but Thursday, which is going to be "normal" at 17C, then back into the oven for more

I don't really believe thur will be that "cool". I was looking at the weather earlier this week and one of the hot days was supposed to be a lot cooler. I think its just randomness. They haven't been able to forecast more than a day or two in advance even semi-accurately in years, and its only getting worse.

There is a cold front moving in from the south, it's gong to create a lot of wind. There's also going to be a good chance for rain tonight / tomorrow so here's hoping that it can help the situation up north.

Here's a donation link for the Red Cross, I was watching CTV news this morning, the damage is hard to process, whole neighborhoods just gone, people displaced everywhere, gas shortages, it's crazy...

Geeze, I didn't realize it was quite so bad. I had read that it was encroaching on some neighbourhoods, but entire areas are gone? I was hoping that it wouldn't sweep through the city.

I'm glad my mom doesn't live up there anymore.

We decided to do this today: https://www.fragapalooza.com/joomla/index.php/80-fragapalooza-supports-fort-mcmurray

Hopefully we get some people on the fence about their registrations to pony up so we can give the Red Cross some monies!

This is awesome!

Also @Tom are you coming alone or is Mia coming? I have 4 seats but looks like both Tonnica and her spouse are coming, so that fills all 4 spots I have currently

HM. She does want to come. I suppose I'll have to buy a couple seats then?

Hey if anybody else wants to come and isn't already let me know, the 4 pack seat deal is pretty good IMO
