CPU Heatsink Upgrade Success

I just upgraded my heatsink from a Noctua U14S to a Noctua D15S heatsink, and holy @%&# was it worth it. With the U14S at full "prime95 high temp test" loads it hit > 60c on die and 79c at the socket. with the new heatsink (and a few non pwm fans got replaced with pwm fans...), temps have fallen to 49c max on die, and 65c max at the socket. IT's CRAZY! But awesome crazy.

This is on a old AMD FX-8320, OCed to 4.28Ghz or so.

I highly recommend BOTH of these heatsinks, but especially the D15S if you have a heat problem. I had been thinking about an AIO water cooler, but between having issues with one in the past, and reviews abound saying that heatsinks still tend to be quieter with the right set up, I just went with a plain old beefy heatsink again. Less likely to fail, and if a fan does fail, just replace the fan rather than the entire AIO unit. And heatsinks tend not to leak lol.
