After nearly a decade my UPS battery is dead, so I'm looking around for a replacement. Any suggestions?

There isn't too much exciting about these units.. It can actually be much more affordable to simply replace the battery.

I purchased 3 new batteries and they shipped with reasonable frees from this Canadian Amazon store.

That'll work. I have a APC Back-UPS 350 and I see a couple listings already.

Ya unless you are running into issues with total capacity, or want shutdown control and the units is too old to be compatible I would just get the new battery.

Only challenge might be getting the old one to the ecostation to recycle it.

Haha, that's the easy part, they opened an Ecostation right across from the LRT station (well, close at least) so I just get a lift from my folks if I have a lot of junk to haul. I do have an old phone battery I have to dispose of soon, might kill two birds with one stone.

Battery World in the City will replace them as well - the batteries inside.

Buying new, I usually go with CyberPower units now.
