So...

My son asked me to join him and a couple of friends.

To see a little-hyped "period piece**" headlined by Nicolas Cage. Who acts insane in the film (typical!) BUT it actually makes sense why (not typical!)

I did not watch the trailer.

I am very glad I did not watch the trailer.


If you like weird atmospheric slasher revenge thrillers -- that take place in the early **1980s and the way it's shot makes it feel like you found an old VHS copy FROM the 1980s! -- then you might consider seeing it during its limited theatrical run.

You WILL laugh out loud with hundreds of strangers multiple times. And you will also CRINGE multiple times... grinning the whole time though. It's very slow at first, then once a tragedy happens, @%&# hits the fan and it's fantastic.

"5 stars" ... or "0 stars". That's the way viewers are rating it.

And I agree. But, in case not obvious, "It's not something you'd recommend to grandma."

Safe to say that if you enjoyed that plot-light visual acid trip of a film, you will definitely enjoy the experience that is called... MANDY.

I saw Half in the Bag last night it looks interesting!
