Is it just me, or was that Family Guy comeback episode last night pretty weak. I was hoping for a totally outrageous comeback that crashed through new barriers of the Adult cartoon genre. Instead we get this weak offering of crap, followed up with and even weaker helping of American Dad.

In all honestly, i think Simpson?s had a better episode then Family Guy and American Dad put together, which is very sad.
I only drink the blood of my enemies, and on occasion a strawberry smoothie.

...American Dad wont finish out the season.  Its horrible.

Family Guy wasnt bad, i think it suffers from overhype.  We recall the fondness of the previous, and now we expect better.

Mr. Analog

I rather enjoyed Family Guy, it had all the elements of a classic episode plus it had some great nods to previous eps.

I agree with you on American Dad, that show won't make it past 6 episodes (I hope anyway).

I liked the G.I. Joe touch they added in, and don't really think it was too bad. Could've been worse.

Could've been American Dad.

Man, I really don't like that show at all. The only thing I do like is the fish. I'm not exactly sure if AD is reaching for "funny because they're poking fun at stereotypes and being offensive" but whatever it's grabbed is kind of like a blob of grey goo with some hairs sticking out of it. Not very pretty and not really funny no matter how many walls you fling it at to make it stick.

 * shudders in dread of watching BT of both tonight... *

 You guys arent serious?

Family Guy was really good, I almost pee'd my pants when he was reading the Jughead comic when Louis was yelling at him. American was slow at first but when it got going it got pretty damn funny. New series are always slow to start till you get to know the characters. ie . Raymond <--- great show, didnt like it at first either

Haven't seen AD yet (dread remains) but FG rocked...

I liked the "bookends" making reference to the FG cancellation + resurrection. GI Joe was not all that funny but a classic non sequiter for which FG is famous. And the banter betwen mom-and-dad Stewie-Brian was priceless :) And even the Return Of The Monkey! Giggidy giggidy!

PS: Peter is really really very really amazingly really stupid. Wow. And lazy. :)

PPS: Raymond? Yeah, *that* show has some great role models for assertive non-whipped males... oh wait no it doesn't. :P

PPS: Who the heck is Louis? ;)

Lois' evil twin brother of course! Possibly a robot but almost certainly from the mirror-mirror universe.

DD is known in France as "Monsieur Anal Retentive"

is that the first time in FG, that an immediate member of the family, besides Brian, has undoubtably understood Stewie? when Stewie spanks Chris...

I think it is.

I don't think so; I think that "gimmick" was a strong focus in the first dozen or so episodes, then they made fun of themselves in that respect with the "future classroom" asking about it.

PS: American Dad did not suck, IMHO. I would give FG an 8/10 and AD a 7/10 for the first episodes.

For American Dad, I laughed out loud quite a few times, and especially enjoyed the way they made secondary characters really stand out and amuse. For example, the sortapeterlooking fat friend of the son, and especially those two guys - an improvement on Tom + Dianne, in my opinion - who apparently stink up the neighbourhood if they move in.

Yeah, you know their type.

"Reporters". :D

PS: Damn, that Seth has got a neato, movietraileresque speaking voice!

How about this past episode, enough "barrier crashing" for ya? Great LawAndOrder opening, couldn't stop laughing. And AD I found LOL funny numerous times as well. Remember kids, delivering the funny is just as as good as AIDS research, according to Seth.

Oh BTW Where In Zarquon's Name Is Quagmire Hiding?

American Dad was yet another yawn fest.  Its like a train wreck, im curious to see how bad it gets.  The parents throwing money at their stripper daughter?  ya.  unfunny.

Family Guy had its moments, its sad that people are commenting on the openning intro and not the actual episode though.

Simpsons, last 4 episodes have had me to tears.

Mr. Analog

Yeah, the Simpsons really killed me on Sunday, FG I thought was pretty good :D

AD could dissappear and I wouldn't notice it.
