I've seen airsoft guns for sale in Canada before.  I don't see why they'd be illegal, basically the same as BB guns, except the airsoft bullets pop like tiny paintballs.

The ones that are the same size and "look" as real guns were prohibited last I checked, otherwise that M16A would be MINE.

From what I understood BB guns (and thus I though Airsoft guns as well) can be owned and used as sporting equipment, but using one during any other offence causes you to be charged as if you were using a real weapon.



This is better-explained here.  Funny how they are classed as "replica firearms" in the one act but specifically classed as "not firearms" in the other act.  And because of that little grey area, they are still legal to own and use.
